Introduction

Today, the earth is threatened by pollution and climate change and also the public opinion in the Middle East and North Africa is debating how to face the climate crisis.

The region is in fact most affected, not only because of intensive oil extraction but also because of water scarcity, desertification and periodic floods. In addition corruption, lack of infrastructure and political mismanagement aggravate the environmental crisis.
